We know lots of people who have never heard that
Fox lies to push divisive issues and get votes
for billionaires. They have never heard of Rupert Murdoch.
They don't know he got a huge tax cut as a result of their votes.
They truly think Fox is the news - the actual, truthful, honest news.
That's why we started this project: To raise awareness of the
corrosive role of rightwing propaganda – in both red and blue areas.
To help: buy and wear these shirts!
All proceeds go towards fighting rightwing propaganda.
If you're from a red area: The best message is the "Fox News Lies" shirt.
For some people who see it, this will be the first time they've heard that
billionaires lie to them to get votes for tax cuts.
If people talk to you, gently ask if they know who Rupert Murdoch is,
and what he did to media in Britain. Or ask them if they know about
the multi-billion dollar tax cut he got from the Republicans.
If you're from a blue area:
While most people in blue areas know that Fox is propaganda,
they usually have no idea how many true Fox believers there are in red areas.
"Boycott Fox News" is good to wear, but "Fox News Lies" works too.
Both raise awareness of rightwing propaganda in blue areas.
If people ask you about the message, be sure to talk not just
about Fox, but also say that Limbaugh and rightwing radio reach
ten times as many people as Fox per week.
The role of rightwing radio propaganda is
massively underestimated by people in blue areas
– who often don't know anyone who is deeply in the Fox/Limbaugh bubble.
